A Random Thought

Michael and I watched Rudolph, the Red-nosed Reindeer this morning over French Toast and home-made orange syrup.

Is anyone else disturbed by the fact that they rip out every single tooth of the Abominable Snowman?

And then they have him decorating the Christmas tree, for crying out loud!

Is there no end to the shameless stripping of his dignity? I mean, he was the plague of the North Pole! And one scrawny, fruity, flippy-haired wannabe dentist elf and one creepy, greedy miner manage to completely undo years of his carefully-cultivated reputation.

I ask you this: how, pray tell, do you "reform" an Abominable Snowman? Especially after a fall down a cavernous gorge filled with pointy rocks?

Well, Abominable, here's to you. Let's hope you have a relapse and give those elves what's coming to them.

New Family!

Michael and I have been married a little over 2 months now, so I thought it was time to start a family blog. As most newlyweds would agree, married life is wonderful, and I can't imagine life without him. I don't know why, exactly, he puts up with me, but I'm just glad he does.

We're at an exciting time in our life. I finish my master's degree in April, and Michael finishes his English degree at the same time. We are looking to move back to the Sacramento area, where I'm from, when we're finished. We're excitedly looking for jobs and houses in the mean time.

As soon as I have any, I will post some pictures from the wedding. Right now, the only pictures I have are stolen from family blogs!
